The UAE now boasts the most comprehensive showcase of Chinese wares and services seen anywhere in the world. Even China has nothing to compare with Dragon Mart, Dubai.

The largest trading hub in the Middle East, Dragon Mart is partially contained within the body of a dragon almost a kilometer long and 110 metres wide. The dragonhead alone is 220 metres long and built on two floors.

Apart from products, the Dragon Mart project features Chinese restaurants, gardens, entertainment, heritage and culture spread over 150,000 square metres.

Arabian Profile supplied a variety of roof, wall and facade solutions. For the roof, APL installed 66,000m2 of standing seam double locking ‘Draco’ insulated system.

A further 12,000m2 of Reynobond composite panels were required for the walls and, for curved walls, 4,500m2 of standing seam honeycomb composite panels were curved to provide the required facade.

Honeycomb composite was also used to provide an additional 7,800m2 of insulated multi-rib panels.
