Dubai’s Mercato
Mall is one of the most visually pleasing shopping complexes in the
entire Middle East, an architectural potpourri of Italian, French and
Spanish styles.
Employing rich textured
hues and atmospheric lighting, the Mercato exudes an uncommon warmth
belying its commercial purpose. The ornate Renaissance styling is largely
inspired by Italy, as is its name which is Italian for ‘market’.
The Mediterranean
flavour extends to the interior layout which borrows from the European
‘town square’, a traditional magnet for traders and centuries-old
meeting place for families and friends.
