thoroughbred in its spectacular Millennium Grandstand.

Built on five levels,
the Grandstand offers a bird’s eye view of all the race action
while the top deck affords a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding
landscape.

manufactured and installed 36,000m2 of Kalzip standing seam roofing
system, roll forming on site and installing the entire roof structure
in only 66 days. Individual sheet lengths of up to 28 metres were pre-curved
to meet the demanding geometry of the structure.
APL also provided
7,500m2 of composite panels and 1,500m2 of Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester
(GRP) curved in 3-D cladding for gables & stair podiums. The success
of the project helped Millennium Grandstand win wide acclaim from the
architectural and sporting worlds.
